Description of fridge shelf:
Encapsulated glass shelf, with hot foil treatment on front surface, which can replace trims assembled at the front.
This is a branded replacement part. The Fridge shelf insert is designed as customer request for use in refrigerators. This part is made of tempered glass.

Tempered Glass for fridge shelf manufacturing process:
Step 1 Float glass is cut to the desired size.
Step 2 Prior to the tempering process, the cut glass is checked for flaws such as cracks, bubbles, and inclusions. The presence of these imperfections can cause breakage during the tempering process.
Step 3 The glass is washed to remove dust, dirt, and debris that could interfere with the thermal tempering process.
Step 4 After it has been cut, checked for flaws, and washed, the glass travels either in batches or in a continuous feed through a furnace, where it is heated at temperatures over 600 degrees Celsius.
Step 5 After the heating process, the scorching piece of glass undergoes a cooling process. During this process, the glass receives high-pressure blasts of cold air from varying angles for about three to 10 seconds. The process, called “quenching,” cools down the surface of the glass much faster than it does the center. Because of this, the interior zone of the glass stays in tension while the surface goes into compression. This combination of competitive stresses is what makes tempered glass so strong
Please Note :
The specification should be confirmed before put the sheet glass into the toughening furnace, the
tempered glass can't be cut anymore after out of the toughening furnace, otherwise fridge shelf will be broken.
Fridge shelf adopts tempered glass which have features below:

The strength is 3-5 times of ordinary annealed glass in same thickness;

Tempered glass can withstand the large temperature difference (200°), the thermostability is
3 times of ordinary annealed glass;

Once breakage occurs, the glass breaks into small cubical fragments, which are relatively harmless to human body.

Fridge shelf test
1, Cold-hot cycle test: first put the fridge glass shelf in a thermostat at 60-65℃ for 12 hours, then put it in a thermostat at-40-35℃ for 12 hours, with a cycle of 24 hours, so that at least 5-10 temperature cycles are performed, and the shelf and injection molding plastic shall not be cracked or broken.
2. Anti-ultraviolet (UV) test (only applicable to white peripheral plastic): Expose the peripheral plastic to high-intensity UV light (50 watts, 254nm, distance 250 mm), and require the color change to be less than E = 1.2 and b = 0.70.
3. Dirty resistance test: After tomato juice, mustard and milk are in direct contact with the fridge glass shelf plastic profile at 200C for 24 hours, remove the residual reagents on the surface of the tested plastic, rinse the tested plastic in clear water, dry the surface with a soft cloth, and then directly inspect it with the naked eye. There should be no obvious stain.
