Description of toughened tempered glass:
Toughened tempered glass is thermally stronger than the normal glass. The glass undergoes intense stress due to which, the strength of glass increases. This glass is made through thermal tempering process where the annealed glass is heated at or above 720 degrees and soon after it reaches the heating point, cooling process is performed. The glass thus becomes strong and stressed.

Process of toughened tempered glass:
Tempered glass is a type of glass with even compressive stress on the surface which is made by heating float glass to nearly softening point and then cooling it down rapidly by air. During the instant cooling process, the exterior of glass is solidified due to rapid cooling while the interior of the glass is cooled down relatively slowly. The process will bring the glass surface compressive stress and the interior tensile stress which can improve the mechanical strength of glass by germination and result in good thermal stability.
Application of toughened tempered glass:
Because the toughened tempered glass has the unique gloss appearance and good light transmission. it's widely used for oven door, oven control panel, microwave oven door glass, fridge glass door, fridge/ refrigerator/ freezer shelf, dish-washing machine panel, washing machine lid, dishwasher door, stove panel, switch panel glass,electronic products panel, wine cabinet door, Kitchen electronic scale, electronic weighing scale, switch panel, etc
Quality Inspection Item
1, Printing appearance: the glass printing area (ink covered area) of the control panel is judged under the condition that the back has opaque cover (black background), and under the black background, it is acceptable that the front is invisible.
2, Evenness: bow shape ≤ 0.5%; there is one place (one peak and one trough) allowed for every 610mm of waveform;
3, Granularity test: two pieces of tempered glass are selected for each batch of glass to be tested, and the place where the center of the long side of the glass plate is 13mm higher than the bottom edge is taken as the breaking point (see figure). After the glass is broken, the two areas with the largest granularity are selected in a 50mm*50mm box for counting. The number of crack-free particles completely contained in the 50mm*50mm box must be ≥50, and the largest particle size must be ≤ 15 mm * 8 mm.
Q: What's the cut hole effect?
A: It depends on different thickness and for thick glass; we usually use water jet + CNC.
For thin glass, we use CNC for cut hole to make sure no breakage chips exist from hole edge.
Q: Is irregular shape glass available?
A: No problem because we will use shape cutting machine + CNC to make sure about the quality.
Q: How's the silk print effect?
A: Feihong received lots of praise in silk print quality base on import paints + auto silk print machine + dust free room.
Available in high temperature silk print(The paint melt into glass) and low temperature paint(Pass adhesion test).
Q: What's the edge treatment could meet?
A: We could make direct cut(cut chips, cheapest), fine grinded(CNC) and polish edges base on your need.
The chamfer / radius could be set.
